ATTORNEY TENZIN WANGYAL
Attorney Tenzin Wangyal is the founder of the Law Offices of Tenzin Wangyal, with offices in New York and Massachusetts. The Law Offices of Tenzin Wangyal provides legal representation in the following areas: immigration law; wills, trusts and estate planning; personal injury; real estate; small business law; civil litigation; criminal defense; family and divorce; and other legal matters.
Tenzin received his Bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College in Economics and Political Science. He received his law degree from Northeastern University School of Law in Boston, Massachusetts. Prior to law school, Tenzin worked as a paralegal at the law firms of Landis, Arn & Jaynes, PC; Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr, LLP; and Fragomen, Del Rey, Bernsen & Loewy, LLP (the leading immigration law firm in the country), and gained extensive experience in U.S. immigration law, including both family and employment-based immigration law.
In law school, Tenzin enrolled in the Civil Trial Practice Clinic where he honed his courtroom advocacy skills. Tenzin also participated in the Prisoners’ Rights Clinic and successfully represented an inmate convicted of second-degree murder at his parole hearing before the Parole Board of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The Massachusetts Parole Board unanimously voted to grant him parole.
During the course of these clinics, Attorney Tenzin Wangyal conducted extensive client/witness interviews and thorough factual investigations; examined witnesses and made persuasive opening and closing statements; and wrote successful administrative appeals.
In addition, Tenzin served as a Judicial Intern in the chambers of Judge Carol S. Ball, Massachusetts Superior Court in Boston, Massachusetts where he researched legal issues and wrote bench-memos and assisted in the writing of court decisions in both criminal as well as civil matters. He also observed several trials, pre-trial conferences, pleadings, and motion sessions.
During his internship at FoxMandal Little, Solicitors and Advocates, the oldest and biggest law firm in India, Tenzin worked on assignments related to Indian law pertaining to domestic and foreign investment advisory services as well as corporate and commercial laws, and a host of other legal issues in the firm’s other practice areas.
Tenzin’s legal experience also includes a stint as Legal Intern at SDD Global Solutions, a firm based in Mysore, India that handles outsourced high-end legal work. At SDD Global Solutions, Tenzin researched and drafted memoranda on areas of U.S. law including litigation, contract and intellectual property.
